Brittani Marcell is a lady who was beaten badly by a man with a shovel back in 2008.

The 17-year-old teenage girl was attacked by a man named Justin Hansen when he entered Marcell’s house and beat her badly leaving severe injuries.

Following the incident, Brittani suffered a horrific brain injury which eventually put her in a medically induced coma alongside other medical problems.

As the incident was premiered on NBC’s Dateline, the limelight has once again fallen on the incident and her recovery journey.

Brittani Marcell is currently undergoing her recovery from the injuries that she faced from that shovel incident.

Marcell suffered several facial as well as other injuries in the incident. Apparently, she became blind on one eye and deaf on one ear alongside the horrific brain injury.

In addition to that, she also had severe injuries to her facial muscles, especially her mouth.

It took her more than 20 surgeries and several months of rehabilitation process to bring her to her present condition, as per People.
