Susan Silver is a music manager whose career has seen some of the biggest names in music including Alice in Chains, Screaming Trees and Soundgarden. Biography of Susan Silver
On July 17, 1958, Susan Jean Silver was born in Seattle, Washington, USA to Emmogene (Jean), Molly Silver and Sam Silver. Her mother was first married to a man known as Gordon Slovarp with whom she had a child, Paulette, before meeting Silver, an airline pilot. From her parents’ marriage, the actress was raised with two siblings, Mark and Bruce, in West Seattle. Unfortunately, she lost her brother, Bruce, much later.
For her education, Susan went to the University of Washington from where she graduated in Chinese. In 1983, when she was just 20, she began her career as head of music at First Thought and The U-Men.
In the years that followed, she quickly rose to become one of Seattle’s foremost musical directors, working with bands such as Soundgarden, which she began leading in 1986, and Screaming Trees. Two years later, she listened to an Alice in Chains tape which she liked. Later, she attended their concert and realized that she loved them even more. This is how his journey in managing the rock band began.
She also managed Sweet Water, Hater, Sponge, Crackerbox, and Kristen Barry among many others. On top of that, Susan Silver possessed good management, as even before going too far, she managed to run a shoe store in her Seattle home.
Relationship with Chris Cornell

In 1985, when Silver was still young at the start of music management music and Cornell was still trying out as a singer, the pair met and soon after they started dating. They continued to see each other until 1990, when they decided to make it official by tying the knot.
For 10 years after their marriage, they remained childless until 2000 when they had their only daughter, Lillian Jean. Sadly, just four years later, their romance turned sour and they went their separate ways in divorce. In this same year 2004, the singer married a second time with Vicky Karayiannis.
The divorce between the two was by no means a peaceful one. The singer has accused his ex-wife of defrauding him and keeping some of his possessions, including his guitar and his Grammy. However, Susan insisted her claims were baseless. Cornell, who later claimed on social media that he got his guitars back, had received a restraining order against a man he said had been hired by his ex-wife to stalk him.
