Jordan Timothy Jenks was born on September 19, 1993, in Fort Riley, Kansas, but grew up in New York City. He spent his summers with his grandmother in Queens, which sparked his interest in East Coast hip-hop. Jenks was a fan of East Coast hip-hop musicians such as Dipset and G-unit. Jenk is of Belizean-American descent.
His cousin was Papoose, who is of Liberian heritage. His uncle Dwight, a graphic designer and rapper, influenced him. Jack was always interested in music and began generating beats in elementary school using FL studio (software for creating sounds).
