Cindy Fitzgibbon is an American meteorologist. She currently works as a NewsCenter 5’s EyeOpener and Midday Meteorologist. Cindy became part of the WCVB’s StormTeam 5 in April of 2013. Before, she has made guest appearances on ABC News filling in on World News Tonight as well as Good Morning America Weekend.

Additionally, Cindy involves herself with organizations that promote science education, and in particular young girls, such as the Jr. Sci-Tech Girl STEM Expo, the Science Club for Girls, as well as the Discovery Museum “Smart Gals” Program. Cindy repeatedly dedicated her free time to helping raise funds for local organizations to fight ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease)  as well as MS (multiple sclerosis).

She has become an ambassador for spreading awareness about Batten’s Disease. Cindy makes frequent “Weather Visits” to schools all over the area and also educated thousands of students about the weather. She is so active in the Natick community where she stays with her family. You can find Cindy on the basketball court, soccer, or baseball field depending on the season. She always goes there to cheer her boys.
