People who watched Law & Order in the late ’90s would have confirmed the recognizable talent of young Brian Gerathy, who played the role of Philip Ludwick in the television series. Although he was in his early 20s when he first appeared on screen, he has quickly become a famous actor. Brian Timothy Geraghty was born on May 13, 1975 in Toms River, New Jersey, United States of America. He is of Irish descent and holds American nationality.
Little or nothing is known about his childhood. His family background, including where he grew up, is that Brian was educated at Toms River High School East public comprehensive school, which he graduated from in 1993. With a passion for acting that developed at a young age, he attended the theater’s Neighborhood Drama School, where he studied acting.

Brian Geraghty’s acting career began in 1999 with his appearances on the television series The Sopranos where he played Counterboy. His impressive performance landed him a later role in Law & Order, where he played the role of Philip Ludwick. In 2001, he was Ari in Ed before landing another role in Law & Order: Task Force Victims as Peter Butler. He did so well in the TV series before landing his first film role in a 2002 film called Petty Crime where he took on the character of the rookie cop. That same year, Brian starred in Town Diary , playing the role of young Frank Ryan.
Geraghty had a career breakthrough in 2009 when he starred in The Injured Locker . In the film, he portrayed the character of Specialist Owen. The film enjoyed commercial success and earned him two awards; Washington DC Area Film Critics Association Award for Best Ensemble and Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Ensemble.
Brian Geraghty has acted in over 35 films in his film career including the most popular Kilimanjaro (2013), The Identical (2014), My Day of Mercy (2017). In his television career, he has credits on well over 12 series, some of which have included Boardwalk Empire (2013), Chicago PD (2014 – 2016) Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2015).
