Astead Herndon Biography
Astead Herndon is an American journalist and writer who was born and brought up in Brooklyn, New York, United States of America. Currently, he works at The New York Times in New York, New York, as a national political reporter, and as a host of a New York Times politics podcast, called ‘The Run-Up’.
Previously, before joining The New York Times, Herndon worked as a political analyst at CNN in Atlanta, Georgia. He worked at The Boston Globe in Washington, D.C., as a national political reporter, city hall reporter, general assignment reporter, and initially as a
Herndon started his career as a news reporter in the year 2009 for The Homewood. After working with the Marquette Tribune and several other papers, Herndon became a Featured Reporting Intern for CNN in May of 2014.
